The 5 Weirdest iPhone and iPad Accessories
It’s no secret that Apple are taking over the world! Or you’d think they were after the BBC ran a story in July last year called “Apple holding more cash than USA” which showed that Apple’s reserves were $76.4bn whereas the US Treasury Department had an operating cash balance of just $73.7bn.
How crazy is that?
It’s not really a surprise though as Apple have been unstoppable over the last few years.
In less than 4 years Apple sold more iPhones than all Macs EVER!
In an attempt to stay individual and to save themselves turning into Apple drones, people having been putting the right hand side of their brains into gear and have come up with some highly creative modifications for their iphones and ipads.
As with anything, some designs and ideas are better than others! And some are just completely out there!
Here are 5 of the craziest.
First up we have the Dokkiri Hand Case for the iPhone 4.
Now that is just freaky. The hand looks real with incredible detail right down to folds in the skin and fingerprints.
This product comes out of Japan, which isn’t all that surprising. What IS surprising is that you can choose the have a woman’s hand instead or, if you prefer, a child’s hand. On the Strapya World website it says:
You could hold hands with your iPhone to make sure you don’t drop it. Or if you are feeling really lonely, this case may reach out to you and give you company.
I think if I see someone with this cover, I’ll make an extra effort to steer clear of them. haha
Next, we have something called the Breastie.
Now, if you have looked at the pictures first, this one might come across as being in bad taste. However, it is an amazingly clever marketing ploy by a group who state on their website:
“Breastie is committed to playing an active role in supporting breast cancer research…Our mission is to positively promote this cause and to raise $100,000 for breast cancer research in part through revenues earned from the Breastie.
I’m sure you will agree that this is quite a genius plan. And judging by the buzz throughout the web, the ploy has worked. Breastie has went super viral!
Maybe I shouldn’t have listed it right next to the freaky hand though! I can see some of you coming up with ideas already! Tut tut!
Ok, moving on, next we have the Mug case for the iPhone.
I don’t really need to write much about this one, just watch the video!
It’s pretty cool I suppose but I can’t help but wonder “Why?”
On the other hand, I can totally understand the next one! Maybe it’s because I’m a kid of the 80’s.
Retro 80’s Style
I can think of a lot of people who would absolutely love this phone case! But then again these people are also into The Karate Kid and The A-Team!
Just look at the pictures and think of a time when a phone was actually a phone! It’s amazing how far we have come!
How retro can you get. This short video takes the case onto the streets to see what the public thinks!
Probably my favourite novelty case so far!
Which is more than can be said about the next one.
Cover number 5 is known as the iMaxi.
It makes you think of the ipad in a completely different way! Just look at the pictures and shake your head like I did.
It say’s on the Etsy website (the people selling this)
It’s the perfect one-of-a-kind embarrassing gift for the Apple geek in your life. Don’t be caught letting your iPad show!
Now I suppose this makes it quite amusing. I can only ever see this selling as a prank gift and will cause a lot of laughter! Unless your brother buys it for your mum’s xmas!
So there we have it. See what Apple have caused!
